Here it is folks. A recap of our exciting regional at ERX. Holding our own at the track amidst pure chaos in the pits with clutch changes, jetting, checking temp & pressure, looking for tools in a hurry, tightening bolts nuts screws, adjusting, & etc. Thats right, racing isn’t just out on the track, much depends on what is completed in a very short time in the pits. As they say (mostly when something bad happens) “thats racing!”

Extra, extra, read all about it. Right here on Patriot Racing’s site. The team is race ready for regionals & semi pro racing. Having a banner year in the sport class at nationals for last season the step up to semi pro is a big one. Be safe at all times & courteous of other drivers is advice given however sometimes you just have to make a pass on the inside & pin it to win it. A little help from a super hero never hurts either, thats why we like to call in the big guns when the going gets tough in the pits. Meantime, was an amazing weekend at Hill City regionals as the team rode to victory in top form riding their race ready…

Eagle River World Championship Derby

Welcome race fans. Team Patriot reporting from the Eagle River World Championship Snowmobile Derby. What an amazing weekend it was with the number 104 sled of Ben Lindbom qualifying for two semi pro finals on Sunday and one Pro final.

The track conditions were icy & tough however that has not stopped a hard charging #104. Both #258 Brian Schoenrock

& #147 Paul Tesch ran in the sport class & had some good qualifying rounds.

The heat races were filled wall to wall with talent from all around the snow belt. Both team mates gave the track all they had.

In round two of qualifying Paul nailed the hole shot & was first out of turn one leaving the competitors far behind as the looming fly way

lay ahead. As he was leaving the earth for launch off the flyway, this is when he discovered that his throttle was stuck on wide open! Unfortunately the lead could not last as he pulled off the track for a throttle cable replacement. This certainly was a rally point for the team the remainder of the day as enthusiastic fans came to the trailer to whoop it up & marvel at Pauls amazing hole shot & flyway adventure in front of many happy derby fans. Brian continued to nurse his sore bones from the bruising he took with

his superman like off on the back stretch during qualifying rounds.

Saturday brought on the good news that Ben had strong qualifying position for Sunday Semi Pro super stock. His second & first place

finishes placed him as the number three qualifier in round one. Round two was less of a lock with a last place finish as a result of an

off & a second place finish. However once scoring came out to the pits & posted the finals there was the #104 sled in round two of the finals with a first choice line pick in the back row. This could not have been better news for team Patriot as the sled was now being prepped for his first official Pro appearance. The team finished out the day with two more Pro class qualifying

round postings of 3rd & 4th consecutively. Team Patriot is hoping for another finals appearance on Sunday & we hope you will stay

tuned for more on the team accomplishments for Sunday.

Thank you to FXR clothing as the 15 degree weather bore down hard Saturday with 10 – 15 mph winds tipping the windchill factor. Our team pit coats & race clothing provided by FXR cold weather gear kept us warm throughout all the standing & cheering in the racing pits. Big shout out to Bristow’s Kawasaki & Polaris, Valley Snowmobile, Sled Descent, Mark Sand & Gravel, NOS energy drinks, Fox Shox, Studboy & NGK spark plugs for firing up our sleds.

Big shout out to all the fans in Wisconsin. What a turn out at the derby, standing room only for Friday

night thunder.
